Mr. Allen began training his Taekwondo training in 1976, while stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville Arkansas.  At that time, Dave's original instructors were Jim Bottin, Jim Wolf, and Mike Brown. Mr. Allen begin teaching as an Assistant Instructor at the Jacksonville School of Self-Defense, owned by Mr. Jim Bottin, affiliated with the ATA. During that time, Dave trained at both the school in Jacksonville, and the club on base being taught by Mike Brown.  Upon promoting to Black-Belt, and completing his B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, Mr. Allen moved to Tucson Arizona and began his career with the Arizona Department of Corrections.
 
       Mr. Allen was the managing instructor for two ATA  Fitness Centers in Tucson, and assisted Master Clint Robinson in opening a large ATA Fitness Center in Sacramento.  Mr.  Allen was also the co-owner of Tucson's Taekwondo Plus in Tucson.  With the founding of the NTFA, Mr. Allen elected to continue his martial arts affiliation with Master Mike Brown, and has been with the Federation since it's inception.  Mr. Allen has 22 years experience in public safety and recently retired from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections as a Deputy Warden.  Over the years Mr. Allen taught Taekwondo Clubs in several Arizona cities as he accepted promotional transfers with the Arizona Department of Corrections  He is currently a 4th degree Black-Belt, School Manager at Joey Perry’s Martial Arts Academy and Promotions Director for the Elite Martial Arts Alliance.
